Sharing our trip

Salinas

One of the most rewarding parts of this trip has been sharing the story with our friends, family, and anyone else that finds it interesting. When we post a story on this blog we always hope that it’s well received, and just a couple of comments from our readers is enough to put a smile on our faces. It lets us know you’re reading and makes us feel like you are not so far away.

There is something else that has happened recently that has been rewarding as well. We’ve both had some of our work published! I feel that having your work published by someone else is an incredible compliment. This has happened to both of us and we are very excited about it.

In case you didn’t notice, most of the stories on this blog have been written by Wendy. She’s actually becoming quite the author (in my opinion) and her stories are fun to read. In December she was published in a very popular magazine about living abroad called International Living. Below is a link to Wendy’s story about Salinas, Ecuador. Give it a read if you haven’t yet.

Pretty exciting!

Kissing Llamas

As Wendy has taken to the stories, I’ve tried to contribute through pictures. I enjoyed photography in High School and I’m starting to have fun with it again on this trip. I do realize that some of the places we visited were so beautiful, that it would have been impossible to not get some great shots!

Speaking of great shots, we did get a few of those in Cotopaxi, Ecuador. Much to our delight, the travel site Vagabondish agreed. They just published one of my pictures in their “Photo of the Moment” section. If you haven’t seen it before, you should check it out. They post some amazing pictures from travelers all over the world.

That’s its for now. We hope you are enjoying the stories and we love to hear your comments. Thanks!
